Archaeological Museum

Archaeological Museum of Goa was established in 1964 under the Survey of India (ASI). Monastery of St. Francis of Assisi, which was lying abandoned because it was closed by the Portuguese Government in 1835, was elected to the site of the museum. The museum, an extensive renovation of the 81-82 system.

Goa State Museum

Known for a lot of impressive architecture as an excellent collection of ancient artefacts and sculptures, Goa State Museum has done much to preserve the heritage of the state. humble origin of the museum can be traced back to 1973 when the Museum of Archaeology and Archives unit was established institution in Goa.

Museum of Christian Art

Museum of Christian art is an art archive only major church which flourished during the Portuguese period. The only of its kind in Asia, the Christian Museum was founded in 1994, the joint cooperation under the Portuguese Calouste Gulbentian and Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), New Delhi.

Places of Worship

Like most Hindu temples in India, temples in Goa are based on some deity that is worshiped. Architecture of Goan temples is a bit ‘different, especially for historical reasons. In Navratri, Dhang dance is very hard and with devotion. Lamp dance is performed during the celebration of women Shigmo with lamps on their heads. Morulem is a traditional folk dance performed backward communities, re-Shigmo festival. Zagor is a cultural activity, where the game has brought the folk in different villages of Goa is Gawda community.
